His and her Norcos.
Our LBS is a Norco dealer, a company out of Vancouver with good componentry. He is riding a Bush Pilot with disc brakes, and she has a Plateau. They are riding by Central Park.
BIXI Rental Program in Ottawa.
The BIXI public bike rentals in Ottawa is a program where you can rent a bike for the first thirty minutes free. We did not get the time to do this, but here are the pictures we took while walking about town.

Bike Banner
Share the Road (with bicycles) Banner across the main drag in Dundas, Ontario. Having spoken with a local activist, the bike lanes found throughout Westdale and other parts of Hamilton and area were only won after a long, hard struggle.

Candyapple Red Raleigh Sprite.
This is a picture of my Mixte frame, the "before" shot, as it was when I first bought it last year, depicted on the ad at Kajiji. I have since changed it into a fixie, and added a carrier on the front. Offered it to the wife, but she wants one with thicker tires. I have found it a very good exercise bike. I take it with the dog about four kilometres a day, which is her limit, and get the maximum work for my legs, since I use them to brake as well as accelerate. I will share the "after" photo of the present bike very soon on this blog.

Me, my Atala, and our shadow. 2011.
This was a 1980's vintage ten speed I got. Very quick bike. Unfortunately, I had an accident on it; twisted up the front wheel, not to mention my ribs. Donated the frame to New Hope, which was sold by them last winter. Kept the wheelset, which is now on my garbage mixte.

Blue Long Haul Trucker (touring bike)
This is my buddy Ken's Long Haul Trucker, as finally decked out in its final form after months of new paint job, new saddle, multiple components added that it makes my head spin. Still, the result is very pretty I am sure you will agree.

We were in the town formerly known as Hull, now Gatineau, sitting around waiting for the cruise boat to load, when this fellow nipped by with his unusual cargo. Fortunately, he turned around and came back, giving me a chance to get this shot. My dog runs alongside, being too big to fit in the carrier. Tried to get her into a bike trailer once, but she panicked.
This is my biking buddy Ken's new Kestrel, an early carbon fibre framed bike. He usually gets steel framed bikes, but this was an exception. He bought it refurbished from New Hope bike coop on Main and Kenilworth, in Hamilton.
